Where Wonders Be, LLC
Where imagination has infrastructure, and purpose has a home.
Where Wonders Be is an independent creative and education company rooted in Deaf culture, visual language, and intentional design. We build tools, experiences, and ventures that center the communities often left at the margins of creativity and learning.
Our Work
Where Wonders Be is the umbrella for a growing portfolio of Deaf-centered creative, educational, and cultural ventures — each one distinct, all of them connected.
ASL-first social-emotional learning tools for Deaf and hearing children. 3D signing figurines, peace table kits, and curriculum designed to build emotional language from the ground up.
A philosophy-driven learning ecosystem centered on embodied language, artistic judgment, and emotional clarity. Home to Language Between the Beats — a self-paced course on ASL musicality — and Studio Sessions, a live workshop experience exploring how Deaf artists feel, interpret, and embody music. Where discernment is the practice and the work is the life.
An immersive multi-installation exhibition exploring visual language, movement, and space as if the world were designed for visual rather than spoken communication. Incorporating projection mapping, motion tracking, vibrotactile elements, and ASL aesthetics.
Founder
Rosa Lee Timm is a Deaf performing artist, educator, and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience at the intersection of ASL, music, and creative education. Born into a multigenerational Deaf family, she has spent her career building spaces where Deaf culture leads — not adapts.
Her work spans Deaf West Theatre and Broadway productions, ASL dubbing for film and media, national workshops on ASL musicality, and executive leadership in Deaf-centered organizations. She is a 2023 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient from NTID/RIT and a curator at Gallaudet University's Deaf Way Sign Language Literature Festival.
What we believe
Everything under Where Wonders Be shares a common thread — the belief that Deaf ways of knowing, creating, and communicating are not limitations. They are the work.
We don't adapt hearing models. We build from Deaf experience outward.
We move slowly enough to get it right. Every venture is built with care, not urgency.
The Deaf community is not our audience. It is our foundation, our collaborator, our compass.
Creativity isn't decoration. It's the most honest way to build something that lasts.
